The trinity knot is believed to represent the archetypes of maiden, mother, & crone (wise woman). It was later adopted by Irish Catholics as a representation of the Holy Trinity. The knot has also been said to mean many other things, including: past, present & future; mind, body & soul; land, sea & sky. Whatever the Celts had in mind back in the 7th century, we may never know, but what probably matters most is what this symbol means to the wearer. Meanings change over time, and sometimes it's we who decide how they do that.
Regardless of the meaning of the trinity knot itself, this ring configures the knot in a repeating pattern, known to represent infinity and eternity in ancient Celtic traditions. Wear this ring among other things to celebrate that which never ends.
