Daffodils have been an important motif for Moorcroft from the earliest days of their pottery production. The first Moorcroft daffodil piece was made between 1897 and 1913, and the theme was revived in 1995 by designer Rachel Bishop with her piece simply called Daffodils. Since that time, not a year goes by without a new daffodil design, as they are among the most successful limited edition pieces that the company produces.
